Delayed BlackBerry 10, RIM could Sued - CEO of Research In Motion (RIM) Thorsten Heins will likely be greeted with wry faces shareholders at the annual meeting with them this week.

How not? BlackBerry pembesut stock has been declining sharply around 95 percent from its peak in mid-2008. Last month, not only losing USD 518 million per quarter, RIM is also forced to postpone the launch of the BlackBerry 10.

In fact, the operating system (OS) was originally to be a beacon of hope RIM, including of course the investors. The analysts consider a BlackBerry 10 will increasingly lose momentum in the presence of this delay.

Reported by the New York Times, Monday (09/07/2012), most likely the annual meeting will not only be a forum to shed the disappointment of the shareholders.

A number of lawyers and investors said the delay BlackBerry 10 and a statement that said RIM Heins fine, will make the Canadian company became the target of potential shareholder lawsuits.

"They will be sued and had to be sued. Because I think they have created an unintentional mistake," said an investor Jean-Louis Gassee.

"When the CEO says there is nothing wrong with the company, that all is fine, it's not careful and do not make sense," he added.

As is known, after a disappointing shareholders last June, Heins said in an interview that is not true if RIM is currently located in the circle of death.

"The whole company is going through a new orientation that focuses on some corporate customers, consumers, the new software platform as a whole, and this is a significant challenge for us," he said at the time.
