Creating Ad-hoc Wifi Connection (Sharing Internet from Computer/Notebook Windows WiFi to the Android HH - This time to discuss a little tutorial on how to make a connection in Ad-hoc mobile android. Android phone that has been tested is the Samsung Galaxy Fit and Samsung Galaxy Ace Gingerbread with firmware version 2.3.4.

But before that by default android phone can not read the type of connection wi fi ad-hoc, so maybe the manufacturer did not enable the functionality. Instead you buy a fairly expensive data package, it would be more cheap laptop if you're the kind of source wifi, so I can ngenet fast and free.

Needs to be explained is the ad-hoc connection is an internet connection using a laptop or computer as routernya. So it is trivial in layman language, ad-hoc connection is that we share the internet connection from your computer / laptop we are to others.

To be able to create ad-hoc connection to be enabled, then the previously required several supporting applications such as:

Root Explorer. Root Explorer can be easily downloaded from blapkmarket (must register first). If the download on the android market, then get ready to pay.

Terminal Emulator. Terminal Emulator can be obtained free on android market. The terminal emulator is required if the system folder / bin in the mobile only read-only alias ga-edit can be edited. If we have a program like deepfreeze Copas, then the system will always return to the same thing.

Next is we just download the file wpa-Supplicant that eventually we will change.

Download WPA-Supplicant

And most importantly, we have android who have been in-root

Do With Your Own Risk

No Guarantee if did not work

The steps are as follows:
  1. Put, file wpa-Supplicant who have downloaded the sdcard.
  2. Open the root explorer, then go to the folder system / bin, copy the file wpa-Supplicant that are native to your sdcard as a backup if it fails or you are not satisfied.
  3. After that copy the file wpa-Supplicant is new to the system / bin and replace the old file was.
  4. if you can't, take a look at the root explorer there is a box R / O press to be R / W. It means the user only had access to Read Only, Write to Read.
  5. Restart Smartphone
  6. Turn on ad-hoc wi-fi it. If you can then connect from the ad-hoc will be marked with (*)

Done ...

Now however, if the file wpa-Supplicant is 'false' can not be copied to system / bin, then turn the terminal emulator that plays a role. We must change the access permissions of the R / O to R / W. If the linux users typically use chmod method, but unfortunately the android is not running smoothly. Other commands are needed. And .. with great difficulty finally managed to find it

In the terminal type the following commands

Su

mount-o remount, rw system / bin

cp sdcard / wpa-Supplicant system / bin

The explanation is, the first line by typing su means we have root access request from the explorer.

Latter is the most important line, can mean we change the system folder / bin to Read-Write. If you want to restore the change rw to ro. Sometimes when tried fails, try removing the comma after the word remount.

The third line means is, we copy the file from the sdcard to the file named wpa-Supplicant. This is when you put it directly on the sdcard is not inside another folder. If you put it in the folder 'yourname' then the command to 'sdcard / yourname / wpa-Supplicant ". Then the last file in the folder dipaste system / bin

Note [Additional]:

Advice, for security use none, do not select wpa or wep. For the problem of proxy should not be used, let us wi fi leaking everywhere ...

This can be applied to ITB network lan connection, provided you've installed and set the Transparent Proxy cache is used.
